Role overview

At CIBC, we're building a relationship-oriented bank and need talented professionals dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients. As a Financial Service Representative II, you will join the Personal and Business Banking team in a fast-paced banking centre in Cornwall, ON. You will make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives by fostering key relationships and understanding their financial and personal goals.

This role involves providing informative and tailored service, recommending the right products and solutions that will help clients achieve financial success. You will need to be flexible to work our banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and be prepared to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance to deliver a great client experience.

Your impact

In this role, your daily activities will directly contribute to our clients' financial well-being and CIBC's success. You will be empowered to make a real difference through direct client engagement and strategic relationship building.

  • Client engagement: Meet with clients to understand their personal and business priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan. Use your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment, and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
  • Relationship building: Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients you value them and their communities. Grow your network, deepen existing relationships, and work as one team to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
  • Leveraging technology: Become a technology expert and share your knowledge by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, helping them to better manage their banking needs.

Who we're looking for

We are seeking passionate individuals who put our clients first and are motivated to make a difference. If you engage with purpose to find the right solutions and go the extra mile because it’s the right thing to do, you could be a great fit for our team.

  • You’re goal oriented, motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best.
  • You know that details matter, noticing things others don't, with critical thinking skills informing your decision making.
  • You’re passionate about people, finding meaning in relationships and building trust through respect and authenticity within a diverse network.
  • You love to learn, passionate about growing your knowledge, and believing there is no limit to what you can achieve.
  • Values matter to you; you bring your real self to work and live our values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
  • You have current accreditation and good standing Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds In Canada).
  • You can demonstrate 1 year experience in working with clients and achieving sales results.
  • Prior banking experience in a similar capacity is considered an asset.

The team

At CIBC, we embrace your strengths and ambitions, empowering you at work. Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute. We strive to offer a career, not just a paycheck, by recognizing your potential and fostering growth.

  • A competitive salary and incentive pay.
  • Banking benefits and a comprehensive benefits program (subject to terms).
  • A defined benefit pension plan (subject to terms).
  • An employee share purchase plan.
  • A vacation offering and wellbeing support.
