The CIBC National Accounts team focuses on corporate lending for public and large private businesses, specializing in structuring and managing syndicated credit facilities and complex structured transactions. As an Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting senior bankers across the origination, structuring, execution, and ongoing management of senior credit facilities for a diversified portfolio of corporate clients. This unique opportunity allows you to work on complex business transactions, gain direct client exposure, and build deep expertise in corporate lending and credit analysis, addressing the specific financing need of our clients.
Day-to-day
In this dynamic Analyst role, your daily responsibilities will span transaction execution, in-depth analysis and underwriting, proactive portfolio management, and collaborative client and partner engagement. You will contribute significantly to the team's success by ensuring smooth operations and strong client outcomes.
- Support due diligence for new and existing credit transactions.
- Assist in the structuring and execution of senior credit facilities.
- Help prepare credit submissions, information memoranda, and client presentation materials.
- Analyze financial statements, operating performance, and market data.
- Build and maintain financial models.
- Conduct credit, industry, and business analysis to support lending recommendations.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring of approved credit arrangements.
- Track compliance with terms and conditions and identify relevant changes in client financial performance or business conditions.
- Support account management activities in line with risk management guidelines.
- Participate in client discussions to understand financing needs and support proposal development.
- Work closely with internal partners across Loan Syndications, Investment Banking, Trading, Risk Management, and Legal.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and industry contacts.
