Inventory Control Associate - Arc'teryx, New Westminster

The Opportunity

Arc'teryx is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to join their Distribution Centre department in New Westminster, BC. This is a vital opportunity to assist in all inventory-related operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the facility. You will collaborate closely with a team of Supervisors, Department Leaders, and other Associates to meet critical deadlines and uphold safety standards. Your quick learning ability and exceptional attention to detail will be key in maintaining precise inventory counts at all times.

Key Duties

In this role, you will perform a range of core activities essential for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the distribution process:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels; track and investigate any internal inventory movement such as shipping/picking orders, receiving goods, replenish, put away etc. to resolve any inventory issues and maintain inventory integrity.
• Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type, and value of materials, and stock on hand, using manual or computerized inventory systems.
• Perform physical cycle counts of inventory and reconcile actual stock counts to computer-generated reports.
• Perform Bin Denial confirmation on a daily basis and resolve inventory issues as soon as possible.
• Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, uploading master data & fixed bin set up, following up emails, and reporting daily work/performance to supervisor/team lead.
• Guide or train new staff, temporary staff, and/or volunteers performing related work.
• Cooperatively work with other teams for achieving Distribution Centre Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience or knowledge in an inventory control or audit role within a high-activity facility.
• Proficiency in learning and operating ERP systems (SAP S4 Hanna / EWM).
• A systematic approach to performing inventory audit counts and creatively solving inventory gap issues, with a proactive mindset in identifying root causes and developing solutions.
• Willingness to share knowledge and train other team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Physical ability to handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate various machinery such as an order picker, high reach truck, and walkie as and when required.
