Sr. Client Engagement Associate - CIBC, Wetaskiwin

Role overview

As a member of the Personal and Business Banking Team at CIBC in Wetaskiwin, you will use your expertise in financial services products and customer service to help clients as they manage their day-to-day banking needs. As a Senior Client Engagement Associate, you will lead by example in delivering exceptional client experiences while mentoring and supporting the Client Engagement Associate team. Whether it is taking the lead to answer questions, assisting with transactions, or proactively connecting clients with the right team members, you will be the first line of support as clients work towards their financial goals.

You will provide guidance on complex transactions or client issues, combining strong client service with operational leadership to strengthen relationships, develop the team, and help make our clients ambitions a reality. You must be flexible to work banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and be open to working at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance. To successfully perform the work, you will be on-site full-time.

Day-to-day

• Help clients manage their accounts and products with a focus on the client experience to make interactions meaningful.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand client needs, explain relevant banking products and services, and support sales that meet their specific needs.
• Identify opportunities to connect clients to the right CIBC team members who can help them reach their goals.
• Listen, gather information, put yourself in the client shoes, and act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues.
• Become a technology expert by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications to help them better manage their banking needs.
• Support Client Engagement Associates as a trusted resource, providing visible assistance during peak periods.
• Mentor new team members through job shadowing, feedback, and collaborating with leadership to resolve complex client issues.
