Order Picker - Home Depot, Sherbrooke

What you'll do

As an Order Picker at The Home Depot, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently preparing orders. You'll be responsible for obtaining and prioritizing pick lists, then gathering the necessary products and merchandise from throughout the store to accurately fill each customer order. This position requires careful attention to detail to ensure products are packed securely for delivery.

• Ensuring Customer Satisfaction by following Home Depot’s GET model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
• Gathering the product mix to fill all orders in a timely manner, utilizing the Order Fulfillment Application.
• Loading delivery vehicles and taking out customers' curbside orders, which includes complying with required safety regulations.
• Creating space for delivery orders until they are moved out of the store.
• Packing and labelling orders carefully to ensure that products do not get damaged and can withstand the turbulence encountered on a delivery truck.
• Handling basic customer order-related transactions, such as POS sales and returns.
• Answering or making customer phone calls and the ability to read a COM order or notes in the system.

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience: 1 to 2 years of retail or distribution experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of operating reach trucks and order picker machines is an asset.

The team

This Order Picker role is an integral part of our Service Desk team, where you will contribute directly to customer service and efficient store operations. You will report directly to the Service Desk Department Supervisor, working collaboratively to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

• Occasionally lift and move heavy and bulky items without assistance.
• Climb ladders, up to the height of 12-16 feet, to obtain or stock merchandise.
