Candidates require a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of operations management experience, ideally in sales or project management.

About WSP & The Opportunity

Join WSP, a global leader in professional services, as an Operations Specialist focused on Project Management and Sales in Canada. This critical role within WSP's Horizon Program supports the vital Opportunity to Cash (O2C) function, influencing enterprise-wide processes across our diverse operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion CX and PPM operational environments, contributing to a best-in-class operational support model. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential support and drive excellence within a dynamic global team, advancing our mission to shape communities and redefine what's possible.

Key Responsibilities & Impact

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a central role in the day-to-day management of our operational systems. Your responsibilities include assisting in incident management processes to promptly resolve operational issues, ensuring adherence to defined service level agreements. You will handle access request management, advise on license requirements, and oversee license subscription processes to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness across the organisation. This role also involves providing performance management and operational oversight for the AMS team, alongside ensuring robust security management and compliance, maintaining audit trails across all operational processes.

You will collaborate extensively with Organisational Change Management (OCM), Solution Architects, and regional teams to integrate solutions effectively into operations and enforce enhancement request processes through platforms like ServiceNow, preventing back-channeling. A core part of your impact will be to support the operational support strategy for the Oracle Fusion environment, leading and collaborating with Global Process Leads to advance the objectives of the Horizon Platform Operations team. You will identify areas for improvement within functional areas, partnering with Operations and Enhancement Leads to prioritize value-added deliverables and work with vendors and WSP Horizon technical teams to ensure the health and performance of Oracle Fusion, aiming to increase availability, reliability, and first-call resolution. Furthermore, you will support monthly operations scorecards using a data-driven approach, identify monthly capacity requirements to ensure support teams meet inflow demand, and drive repeatable, efficient process improvements across functions. You will provide functional solution expertise within Oracle Fusion modules, supporting advanced technical solutions, testing, and patching reviews, and work closely with functional leaders to ensure system stability and performance aligned with design intent. Cooperation with Audit, Security, and Compliance teams is also key to meet IT Governance Controls.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this Operations Specialist role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. You will bring at least five years of specialized experience in operations management, ideally gained within sales and/or project management environments. Strong analytical capabilities are crucial, enabling you to interpret data and drive informed decisions that enhance our operational effectiveness.

Demonstrated experience in process optimisation and continuous improvement is essential, as is a proven track record of supporting large, multi-national operational environments. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to collaborate effectively across various functions and regions. Furthermore, a solid knowledge of compliance, audit, and security management practices, coupled with experience using enhancement request platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira, will set you apart. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the efficient and secure functioning of our critical systems.
