You will support major pursuit teams for multiple defence‑sector RFPs—helping secure, shape, and deliver the next generation of national infrastructure. This role blends technical excellence, leadership, expertise in alternative delivery (P3/DB), and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams toward innovative, constructible, compliant solutions. This position can be based out of any WSP office in Canada, offrant une flexibilité pour vous.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, your impact will be significant across various complex projects. You will be instrumental dans la conception électrique et le leadership technique pour des programmes nationaux, en particulier ceux qui touchent les infrastructures critiques.

• Lead or contribute to electrical designs for large, complex, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects, including P3 and design‑build delivery.
• Serve as a Key Individual on defence and infrastructure pursuits, supporting experience narratives, compliance documentation, and technical bid inputs.
• Deliver advanced engineering solutions for building electrical and electronic systems, including: Low‑voltage power distribution, emergency power, and UPS; Lightning protection and grounding; Fire detection and voice alarm systems; Public address and telecom/security infrastructure; Lighting and lighting controls; External underground electrical services.
• Provide strategic technical leadership across pursuit and delivery teams on major national programs.
• Support engineering for Arctic and remote environments, applying design strategies for climate, logistics, constructability, and reliability challenges.
• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate team members, enabling les équipes à confiently tackle complex design problems.
• Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client/sector‑specific requirements—particularly defence‑related specifications.

Qualifications

WSP is looking for professionals with a distinguished skill set to excel dans ce rôle exigeant. Les qualifications essentielles pour ce poste incluent une expertise technique approfondie et une expérience avérée dans des projets d'infrastructure majeurs.

• P.Eng. (or eligible to transfer) in a Canadian jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated success delivering major, complex infrastructure projects (defence, transportation, industrial, institutional, or utility‑scale).
• Proven experience in P3, Design‑Build, and alternative delivery—with strong understanding of their technical and commercial requirements.
• Ability to meet eligibility criteria for security clearance required for defence programs.
• Advanced expertise in large‑scale electrical systems design and integration.
• Previous experience supporting projects in the Arctic is necessary.
• Strength in producing compliant, technically robust submissions for complex RFPs.
