WSP Solutions Appliquées is actively seeking a Technicien(ne) Opération et Traitement des Eaux to join its dedicated team in Montréal. This vital role focuses on the operation and entretien of water treatment systèmes and environmental rehabilitation equipment, offering an impactful career path within a global leader.

As a key member of the O&E Systèmes team, you will contribute to various water traitement and environmental rehabilitation projects. Your responsibilities will include tasks related to the installation, opération, and entretien of diverse technologies and équipements de réhabilitation et de traitement d’eau. Additionally, you will participate in the construction of mobile treatment units at WSP Solutions Appliquées' assembly workshop in Longueuil. While the work is primarily performed in the Montréal region, regular travel to job sites, mainly across Québec, is expected pour assurer le bon fonctionnement des installations.

What you'll do

In this role, your impact will be significant, encompassing a range of technical and operational responsibilities. You will ensure the efficiency and compliance of various projets de traitement, contributing directly to environmental protection and sustainable solutions.

• Adhere to all work instructions, guidelines, protocols, and procedures stemming from our health and safety, quality control systèmes, and company policies.
• Ensure the proper functioning of equipment, both mechanically and in terms of project performance expectations.
• Perform the opération et entretien of water, air, and soil treatment equipment according to maintenance schedules.
• Participate in the installation and fabrication des équipements de traitement.
• Provide support to other technicians as needed.
• Perform varied manual work, including plumbing, electro-mechanics, mechanics, instrumentation, and calibration.
• Sample raw or treated waters.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operation and entretien procedures and fabrication des systèmes.
• Supervise subcontractors associated with the operation and entretien and fabrication des systèmes activities.
• Participate in process optimization and cost reduction.
• Collect and compile relevant technical data.
• Complete follow-up sheets and write activity reports.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need a blend of technical education, practical experience, and essential soft skills. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is ready to make a tangible impact on our projets de traitement et de réhabilitation.

• AEC or DEP in water treatment, electromechanics, or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Bilingualism is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, as well as hydraulic and electrical systèmes.
• An interest in automation and remote control des systèmes would be considered an asset.
• ASP Construction certification for safety on construction sites.
• Autonomous, reliable, and organized individual, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel software.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence.
