At CIBC, we are dedicated to building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are committed to doing what’s right for our clients. This is a chance to join CIBC, where your strengths and ambitions are embraced, empowering you to make a meaningful impact. Our team members have what they need to succeed and are truly valued for their contributions.

What You'll Do

As a Financial Services Representative on the Personal and Business Banking team, you will thrive in a fast-paced Banking Centre in Surrey, BC. You will play a crucial role in our clients’ lives by fostering key relationships, understanding their financial and personal goals, and providing tailored service. Your expertise will help recommend the right products and solutions for their financial success. This role requires flexibility to work banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends, and to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance to deliver a great client experience. You’ll be on-site full-time to successfully perform your work.

  • Meet with clients to understand their personal and business priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan.
  • Utilize your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment, and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
  • Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients you value them and their communities.
  • Grow your network, deepen existing relationships, and work as one team to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
  • Become a technology expert, introducing clients to our mobile banking applications to help them better manage their banking needs.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this Financial Services Representative role, you will demonstrate a client-first approach, engaging with purpose to find the right solutions and going the extra mile. You are goal-oriented, motivated by accomplishing your objectives and delivering your best. You pay close attention to details, using critical thinking skills to inform your decision-making. You are passionate about people, finding meaning in relationships and building trust through respect and authenticity. You love to learn and are committed to growing your knowledge.

  • You have current accreditation and good standing Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds In Canada).
  • You can demonstrate 1 year experience in working with clients and achieving sales results.
  • Prior banking experience in a similar capacity is considered an asset.
  • You bring your real self to work and live our values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.

The Team

At CIBC, your professional goals are a priority. We focus on your strengths and ambitions as an employee, striving to create opportunities that tap into your full potential, offering a career rather than just a paycheck. We recognize our team members in meaningful, personalized ways, including a competitive salary, incentive pay, and comprehensive banking benefits. Our benefits program includes a defined benefit pension plan, an employee share purchase plan, a vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program.
