Responsibilities

The Contracts Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the contractual framework for Irving Shipbuilding. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities, from process development to direct customer engagement, ensuring all aspects of our contracts are handled with precision and compliance. Key duties include:

  • Support the development and implementation of contract management processes.
  • Create presentation materials to facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the contract change proposal process.
  • Prepare and manage Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), Subcontractor Change Order Proposals (COPs), and related documentation through to final customer approval.
  • Draft and finalize Task Amendments, Contract Amendments, and Agreements in Principle.
  • Monitor and track contract values, task authorizations, and change impacts.
  • Collaborate with the Customer to obtain necessary approvals under the Prime Contract.
  • Contribute to Monthly Progress Reports and Progress Review Meetings.
  • Maintain a commercial action log and foster strong working relationships with the Customer.
