Yard Associate - J.D. Irving, Sydney

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Yard Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive excellent service and have a safe, easy shopping experience. This involves direct interaction with customers, managing product flow, and maintaining the overall organization of the yard. Your efforts contribute directly to our mission to be the best source of home improvement products.

• Greet and assist customers with product information, sales, and arranging deliveries.
• Load/unload materials and prepare orders for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain inventory, replenish stock, and ensure the yard is clean and organized.
• Prepare invoices, quotes, and delivery documents.
• Use our system (D365) to manage inventory updates.
• Follow all safety procedures and standards.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For

We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. The ability to handle physical work and adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is key. While some experience is an asset, we value your mindset and willingness to meet challenges.

• Safety mindset.
• High attention to detail.
• Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to work outside in variable temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to work days/evenings/weekends (rotating shifts).
