Details

The primary responsibilities for this role include the expert operation of a boom truck, safely handling and transporting a wide array of materials such as windows, doors, cement, shingles, and other vital building supplies. You will be tasked with preparing trucks for loading, meticulously loading and unloading products, and verifying the security and accuracy of each load before departure. Maintaining diligent driver’s records requirements, including daily checklists and monitoring truck maintenance, is essential for operational excellence. Furthermore, you will be expected to ensure proper vehicle maintenance and uphold all company safety policies and procedures, promptly reporting any defects, violations, accidents, or injuries. Effective communication with dispatch to resolve any issues and maintaining a professional demeanour are also key aspects of this demanding yet rewarding position.

To excel in this physically demanding role, candidates must possess a valid Class 3 License with an air brake endorsement and demonstrate proficiency with manual transmission. A clean driver's abstract is required. The successful candidate will showcase the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace, adapting to all weather conditions. This position may involve working shifts up to 12 hours with varying start times, necessitating a self-motivated, punctual, and reliable individual. A paramount safety mindset and high attention to detail are crucial requirements for ensuring the well-being of yourself, your colleagues, and our customers.
