This hybrid role is central to the creation of profitable global product line assortments specifically for the Veilance Women’s product category. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Senior Product Line Manager to achieve company goals, meet consumer needs, and identify brand opportunities to bring innovative solutions to market. This position involves significant cross-functional collaboration, working closely with the Design and Product Development teams to translate the product vision into seasonal line plans. Furthermore, the role requires partnering with Costing and Sourcing upstream, and with Merchandise Planning and Allocations (MP&A) to maximize in-season sales performance. The Veilance team thrives on curiosity and an immersive approach to understanding future needs in urban environments, then applying this knowledge to design, test, and validate high-end product solutions. The Product Line Management team is dedicated to delivering the right product, in the right places, at the right time, ensuring product lines support the overall Design creative direction while driving sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals globally. This role is crucial for supporting the strategic development and execution of the Veilance product line.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
As an Associate Product Line Manager for Veilance Women's, core activities include supporting the development and execution of the Veilance product line strategy. This involves contributing to the creation of detailed product briefs that align with category strategy, seasonal storytelling, and brand vision, fostering strong collaboration with the Design and Development teams. You will contribute to the cross-functional product creation process from concept through to the guest, sharing expert knowledge of product, market trends, and consumer needs. A key aspect of the role is supporting the achievement and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), managing design and production costs relative to market and guest value propositions. You will also contribute to the management of the entire product lifecycle, from development to commercialization, and eventual redesign or retirement. The role requires supporting seasonal selling plans and overall strategies, alongside conducting research and analysis of the global marketplace to identify key consumer and market insights. This information will inform concept work and the development of new products and the range. Preparing product presentations for internal stakeholders and contributing to Go To Market (GTM) product knowledge are also vital. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in the apparel, fashion, or luxury product markets, ideally in a retail, merchandising, or product development capacity. Strong knowledge of sell-through, calculating cost of goods, and the open-to-buy process is essential. An excellent understanding of the premium technical apparel market and the outdoor industry, particularly Veilance products and their blend of technical performance with urban use, is highly valued. Furthermore, strong organizational, analytical, presentation, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications.
