The City of Toronto's Community Recreation Branch is seeking a dedicated Ski & Snowboard Assistant Instructor to join the team at Earl Bales Ski & Snowboard Centre. Who We're Looking For

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who meet the following qualifications. Please note that a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is a requirement for this role, given the focus on working with children and vulnerable adults. • Must be minimum 14 years of age.
• Must produce original current Basic First Aid certification as recognized by the WSIB.
• Possess certification in Parks and Recreation Ontario's Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD). This mandatory course will be provided at no cost upon obtaining a conditional offer of employment, with course dates and details provided at that time.

Responsibilities

As a Ski & Snowboard Assistant Instructor, you will be integral to the success of our programs, ensuring participants have a safe and engaging learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assists Ski/Snowboard Instructors in conducting Toronto Ski instructional programs.
• Assists in providing safe, instruction to program participants.
• Adheres to all Policy and Safety guidelines as outlined in Policy and Procedure Manuals.
• Interacts with participants, staff, spectators and other community members.
• Responds to inquiries regarding participants’ progress at the end of lessons.
• Implements and follows program outline.
• Takes action to deal with incidents, problems and emergencies and comply with Divisional policies and procedures.
• Attends and participates in meetings, clinics and training sessions.

What's On Offer

This temporary, part-time position offers an hourly rate of $19.44. You will be part of the City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry & Recreation division, contributing to essential community services.
