job description

About this Opportunity

Join the Dasher & Logistics team at DoorDash Canada, a pivotal group dedicated to ensuring every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy, and a positive experience for consumers, merchants, and Dashers. This team is responsible for the overall health of the DoorDash delivery marketplace, encompassing cost, quality, efficiency, fulfilment, and sustainable growth across Canada.

As an Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations, you will play a critical role in managing Dasher supply and delivery quality across Canadian markets. This position sits at the intersection of operational execution and marketplace health, with accountability for ensuring the right number of quality Dashers are available to meet demand reliably across various geographies and conditions. You will translate company and regional goals into clear supply strategies, balancing Dasher acquisition, mobilisation, and retention to maintain a healthy, high-performing supply base for DoorDash operations. Your work will involve managing key supply levers, including onboarding pipelines, retention programmes, and regional coverage optimisation, requiring a sharp understanding of Dasher behaviour and engagement to design effective programmes.

Key Duties

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for a range of strategic and operational tasks, including:

  • Owning Dasher supply health across Canadian markets, managing across acquisition, mobilisation, and retention to ensure demand is reliably met with strong quality.
  • Diagnosing and closing supply gaps across regions, using data to identify root causes and deploy targeted interventions across different market conditions.
  • Designing and optimising programmes that attract and retain quality Dashers, understanding what drives engagement and how to sustain a healthy supply base over time.
  • Managing supply across varying operating conditions, including weather, local events, and seasonal demand shifts, balancing short-term actions with longer-term planning.
  • Leading rigorous, data-driven analyses to measure supply performance, model the impact of programme changes, and surface clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Analytics, Legal, and Operations to align on supply strategy and deliver shared outcomes.
  • Making thoughtful trade-off decisions between supply adequacy, delivery quality, and cost to protect long-term marketplace health.

What You'll Bring

We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, technology, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational areas with accountability for quality and measurable outcomes.
  • High analytical proficiency and comfort using data and AI tools to diagnose issues, prioritise actions, and measure impact.
  • Experience operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with multiple competing priorities.
  • Comfort collaborating cross-functionally and aligning stakeholders around clear decisions.
