Key Responsibilities and Customer Focus
The Fabric ACE team, a specialised engineering and customer escalation unit within Microsoft, is committed to resolving the most intricate and business-critical issues across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI workloads. As an Advanced Cloud Engineer (ACE) within this team, you will engage directly with top Microsoft Fabric customers, offering advanced technical support and troubleshooting. This involves assisting both customers and internal teams in resolving complex issues related to the implementation, configuration, optimisation, and adoption of Microsoft Fabric. A crucial aspect of this role is acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least two Microsoft Fabric workloads, continuously staying current with the latest platform capabilities, AI-powered innovations, and industry best practices. You will investigate and diagnose escalated issues by meticulously analysing logs, telemetry, errors, and system behaviour, leveraging modern diagnostic and AI-assisted tools to accelerate root cause identification and resolution. Collaboration is key, as you will partner closely with the Product Group (PG), Customer Advisory Teams, Engineering, and Support organisations to drive rapid issue resolution, enhance the overall customer experience, and influence product quality across the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This role also involves partnering with the Product Group to identify and prioritise bug fixes, feature enhancements, performance optimisations, and customer-driven feedback, thereby shaping the future direction of Microsoft Fabric and its AI-enabled capabilities.
Qualifications and Impact
To excel in this Senior Technical Program Manager role, candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s Degree along with a minimum of four years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development. Additionally, at least two years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects is essential. Preferred qualifications include eight or more years of relevant experience and six or more years managing cross-functional projects, with an added advantage for those with one or more years of experience reading and/or writing code.
