Who we're looking for

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Network Analyst with a strong understanding of complex networking concepts and a passion for maintaining high-performance infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual capable of both independent problem-solving and collaborative teamwork within a large enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintains and sustains network infrastructure.
• Proactively identifies, investigates and resolves network problems.
• Designs network deployments and ensures proper documentation.

Specific operational duties involve:

• Configures network devices including switches and wireless access points.
• Installs, supports and configures network switches and peripherals from a variety of vendors.
• Uses network management tools to configure and manage network switches and wireless access points.
• Consults with vendor and other trusted sources for patch announcements and apply where necessary.

In terms of network design, you will:

• Performs edge network planning and design, reconfigurations, and equipment installations and upgrades.
• Provides edge network design services.
• Prepares and/or updates network documentation.

Your role in issue resolution includes:

• Researches, analyzes, isolates and resolves errors.
• Addresses emerging issues that arise during the operation of the network.
• Interacts with various end-user supporting groups to investigate problems relating to the wireless network.
• Responds to and resolves network outages as soon as possible.
• Investigates problems, performs root cause analysis, and coordinates internal and external resources to implement solutions and facilitate problem resolution.

For network development, you will:

• Defines and maintains network infrastructure and operational procedures.
• Continuously investigates new technologies which may affect the operation of the network or be used to expand its capabilities.
• Documents network configurations and creates network diagrams. Creates and maintains documentation regarding networking infrastructure, standards and projects.
• Evaluates new technology to make recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions.

Project work will involve:

• Manages network projects including documenting technical network designs.
• Plans Network installations by surveying and evaluating locations to identify network installation requirements.
• Works with clients, F&O Project Managers and Cabling/Edge Team Leader to both understand business needs and ensures project designs are updated correctly before the designs are sent to contractors for implementation.
• Follows change management requirements.
• Develop scope of work.
• Develops project budget, using estimation tools.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (switching, routing, VLANs, STP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, wireless).
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and related hardware.
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center (CCC), IPAM, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure, including single-mode and multi-mode fiber, fiber patching, troubleshooting fiber strands, interpreting light levels, and testing with OTDRs and optical power meters.
• Experience with network documentation, automation/scripting, and process improvement would be a strong asset.
• CCNA Certification a strong asset.
• CCNP Certification is a strong asset.
