As a Resource Team Leader, you will provide essential leadership and development for a team of high-performing Financial Centre Administrators. Your primary goal is to empower Advisors, their staff, and managers by identifying learning needs and delivering defined Sun Life requirements, tools, technology, and administrative process training. This is done in partnership with District Managers and aligned with Head Office Professional Development programs.
Beyond training and development, this role is also accountable for the overall operational effectiveness of Financial Centre locations. This includes managing premises, technology, general administrations, advisor office management, and client management processes, ensuring smooth daily operations within our Sun Life offices.
Your impact
Your contributions as a Resource Team Leader will directly enhance the efficiency and capabilities of our Financial Centres, making a tangible impact on advisor success and client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in driving key initiatives across various operational areas, ensuring our teams have the training and technology they need to excel in their sales and service efforts.
- Responsible for running the operations of the Financial Centre (FC) locations.
- Leads the FC resource administration team.
- Completes regular one-on-one reviews with each team member, ensuring their goals and objectives reflect the needs of the company, the FC, as well as the requirements of the job.
- Assesses advisor learning needs and recommends training required to meet those needs.
- Enables technology adoption, working in partnership with the Distribution Digital Office and Management team.
- Coordinates the FC training program based on the needs of the FC.
- Delivers initial and ongoing advisor training, prepares training schedules, and arranges for presenters.
- Provides training on various sales support systems – topics of technology, product, and procedures, through group training or one-on-one sessions.
- Provides just-in-time PC troubleshooting to resolve technology problems.
- Provides just-in-time information on insurance products and procedures.
- Delivers training on compliance and market conduct topics as required.
- Facilities management (premises & equipment).
- Oversees administrative processes, operating within national policies driving efficiency and effectiveness across locations.

- Experience includes coaching, leading, and influencing teams, previous experience in the financial services, and relationship management.
