About the Role
As a Senior Field Property Adjuster reporting to the Team Leader, Field Property, you will be accountable for the investigation and settlement of personal property damage claims. Your responsibilities include accepting notice of claims and collaborating with customers and preferred vendors to resolve claims quickly and efficiently. You will manage moderate to complex personal property claims, confirming policy coverage by ensuring claim facts align with Definity claims policies. This role also involves maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into appropriate systems, processing claims payments within your level of authority after verifying claimants’ entitlements, and initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma, a CIP designation (or be in progress), or have relevant property handling experience. A minimum of eight years of property claims handling experience is required, along with experience in scoping and estimating losses. Familiarity with CICS, IMS, Xactimate, and CDS systems is considered an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is also necessary. We are looking for a professional, friendly, and courteous individual who performs well in a busy operation, remains calm under pressure, and is adaptable to changing environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key. Successful clearance of background checks, including criminal checks and leadership references, is a requirement for this role.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $59,300 to $109,200. The actual salary for this role may vary based on the successful candidate's work location and other factors, including skills, education, experience, working conditions, and the local labour market.
