Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician - Saskatchewan Health Authority, Regina

Responsibilities

As a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, you will play a crucial role in patient care. Your primary responsibility will be the fabrication and repair of artificial limbs and braces (prostheses or orthoses). This work ensures that patients receive devices that offer maximum fit, function, appearance, and workmanship, directly contributing to their mobility and quality of life.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician. This role requires specific education and registration to ensure the highest standards of patient care. While no previous experience is required to apply, candidates must meet the following criteria to become a registered technician:

• Two (2) years (3450 hours) training/experience working as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician under the supervision of an on-site Certified professional (or registered technician) prior to becoming registered.
• Completion of an Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician Program.
• Registered Technician in Orthotics with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada.
• Registered Technician in Prosthetics with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada.
