About the Role
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator to join their team in North Battleford. This full-time temporary position, designated as a Nurse B, plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe client care across the region. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing educational programming, acting as a vital clinical resource, and fostering best practices within the interprofessional clinical team, with direct input from unit managers of Nursing.
This role involves working standard hours on day shifts, with a rotation of 14 shifts of 8 hours over a three-week period. Travel is required to fulfill the responsibilities of this regional position, ensuring support for various client care initiatives throughout Saskatchewan.
- Ensuring all work aligns with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans.
- Assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice standards.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing, and other educational programming.
- Assessing learning needs of staff.
- Acting as a clinical resource for the team.
- Promoting client and family-centred care.
- Participating in assigned committee work and continuous improvement activities.
- Developing and maintaining client and staff resources.
Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience with clients requiring psychiatric and medically complicated care.
Education requirements include:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
Licensing and registration details:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (travel is required)
- Registered or eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
