Responsibilities

As a Student, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the sawmill by performing the following tasks:

• Supporting production activities throughout various areas of the mill
• Providing relief coverage during employee breaks and vacation periods
• Performing housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Rotating through various trained positions within the operation
• Assisting with material handling activities, including lifting, pulling, and stacking materials
• Following all safety procedures and workplace standards
• Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting summer opportunity, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in high school, college, or university, or accepted into a post-secondary program for Fall 2027
• Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn
• Able to perform physical work, including lifting, pulling, and stacking materials
• Committed to quality work and workplace safety
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Quick learners with a positive attitude
• Able to meet J.D. Irving Limited selection criteria
