About the Strategic Account Technology Strategist Role

As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist with Microsoft Canada, you will play a pivotal leadership role in guiding Canada’s communications providers through their AI transformation. Your experience will be crucial in designing and driving leading-edge initiatives in deep partnership with customers’ CTOs, CTIOs, and Chief Network and AI Officers, aligning Microsoft’s platform to their most ambitious business and engineering priorities while advancing Microsoft’s objectives. This is a critical account role that demands strategic thinking and a customer-centric approach to deliver targeted business outcomes and drive revenue for Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities and Impact

The Strategic Account Technology Strategist is responsible for fostering strong technology leadership across Microsoft and with our valued customers. You will grow and manage the technology relationship across leadership within customer organizations, ensuring Microsoft remains their preferred partner. A core aspect of this role is driving operational and commercial excellence, which includes accelerating Microsoft business growth and customer technology transformation through leading technical executive conversations and governance. This involves partnering closely to accelerate the adoption of Microsoft platforms and creating new opportunities that enable our customers' ambitions. Furthermore, you will orchestrate internal and partner technical teams to deliver unparalleled technology leadership and cultivate an always-learning culture, spanning agentic AI and Copilot, data modernization, and Zero Trust security, continuously strengthening your AI and security acumen. Your deep telecommunications expertise, covering network cloudification, 5G, OSS/BSS, and data monetization, will be essential in shaping AI strategies aligned to business outcomes and challenging customer assumptions constructively.

Qualifications and Career at Microsoft Canada

To excel in this strategic account technology role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, combined with at least seven years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or equivalent technical/sales/industry experience. Preferred qualifications include 14+ years of relevant experience, along with at least five years of experience in digital transformation or leveraging technology to drive customer business outcomes. Additionally, four years of experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management, and five years of experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams are highly valued.
