Details
As an IT On-site Support Technician, your primary responsibility will be to respond to IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution. This includes transferring complex issues to specialised support teams when required and proactively identifying and resolving recurring IT challenges to enhance system stability. You will collaborate closely with various IT administrators, including server, network, and security teams, to address intricate incidents and maintain critical infrastructure. Building strong working relationships with office managers is crucial to understanding local IT needs and collaborating with IT leadership to implement effective solutions. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring and resolving issues related to shared IT services, preparing workstations, maintaining accurate IT asset records, and providing remote support when necessary. A key aspect of this role is to help users by guiding and training them on IT best practices, fostering productivity and system adoption across WSP.
This role also encompasses critical VIP and Information Security responsibilities. You will provide priority, highly attentive support to VIP users, which may require availability during extended hours for critical events and meetings. Building trusted relationships with VIPs and their assistants is essential for delivering highly personalised service. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in information security by monitoring network access points, managing access levels, and supporting password usage. Your analytical skills will be applied to scrutinise systems, security controls, and event logs to identify potential security threats, assisting with audits and the remediation of compliance gaps. Collaboration with the Corporate Security team and other stakeholders is required for secure project delivery, reinforcing WSP's commitment to data integrity and protection for all people.
