Billing Agent - MEDFAR Clinical Solutions, Montreal

Role Overview

As a Billing Agent at MEDFAR Clinical Solutions in Montreal, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing process. This position involves preparing, validating, and analyzing customer invoices to ensure clients are billed accurately according to contractual agreements and services provided. You will investigate and resolve billing discrepancies related to license count changes, subscription plan modifications, and the addition of new services. Working closely with the Sales, Support, and Finance teams, you will help maintain a reliable and scalable billing process that is aligned with customer deployments and optimised through automation. Reporting to the Billing Operations & Process Excellence Lead, you will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting business operations and contributing to MEDFAR's financial success in modernising healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and issue invoices in accordance with contractual agreements;
• Perform the necessary follow-ups to ensure complete and timely billing;
• Analyze customer accounts and identify billing discrepancies;
• Resolve billing issues and document corrective actions;
• Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure billing is aligned and automation-friendly;
• Work with the Support and Collections teams to complete required billing corrections;
• Contribute to improving billing data quality and process automation;
• Assist with billing-related projects;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this Billing Agent role and effectively support our operations, you will need a combination of educational background, relevant experience, and strong professional skills.

• Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
• 1–3 years of relevant billing experience;
• Experience with recurring billing or SaaS (asset);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills;
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets;
• Bilingual French and English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct and Salesforce (asset).
