The successful candidate will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties focused on ensuring our team, particularly our drivers, adheres to the highest standards. A primary responsibility involves the meticulous maintenance and management of driver files within systems like IDELIC and TMW, guaranteeing all records are accurate, current, and prepared for audits. This includes verifying and tracking essential driver qualification requirements, such as licenses and various certifications. You will oversee training compliance dashboards, ensuring all personnel meet required certifications and participate in critical programs. Furthermore, this role entails coordinating and monitoring training and onboarding programmes using platforms like Convergence, tracking completions, and updating HCM records. Proactive monitoring of fines, road inspections, and conducting annual driver abstract pulls for Canadian provinces and U.S. Clearinghouse checks are also key. The ability to manage driver status changes and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation is paramount to our operational safety.

Beyond driver-specific tasks, the Health & Safety Coordinator will administer our drug and alcohol programme, coordinating post-accident and random testing, and preparing necessary reports. Managing the company's certifications and permits, such as Hazardous Materials registrations, and ensuring their timely renewal, forms another critical aspect of this role. You will also coordinate the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programme, including account setup, ordering, inventory management, and acting as a vendor liaison. Tracking and maintaining Workers’ Compensation coverage records is essential for the overall health and safety framework. This position requires an individual with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and accuracy, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
