What you'll do

In this dynamic Emergency Medical Technician role, you will be responsible for responding to a variety of calls, ensuring timely and effective patient care. Your duties will include initial assessment, treatment, and safe transport of individuals in need of medical attention.

• Respond to emergency and non-emergent calls for service.
• Provide initial assessment of ill or injured persons.
• Administer treatment as required.
• Safely transport patients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual with a strong commitment to patient care and emergency medical services. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary education, licenses, and competencies to excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment in Saskatchewan.

Education:

• Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses:

• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
• Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
• International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

Other Education and Training:

• Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Competencies:

• Basic - Communication skills
• Basic - Interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting

Other Requirements:

• Clean Driver's Abstract
• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
• Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
