Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this tenure stream Assistant Professor position in Ancient Greek Literature at the University of Toronto will be instrumental in advancing the Department of Classics' reputation for academic excellence. • Pursue innovative and independent research, establishing an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program focused on ancient Greek materials.

• Earned a PhD degree in Classics or a related area by the time of appointment.

• Present clear evidence of a capacity to teach both graduate and undergraduate students at all levels, including translation-based courses in ancient Greek literature and language courses in ancient Greek.

Evidence of excellence in research may be demonstrated through:
