job description
About the Role
This role as an AI Change Enablement and Communications Lead at WSP in Montreal offers the opportunity to drive the adoption of AI capabilities. You will design and execute targeted change enablement and communications strategies, addressing behaviours, barriers, and the 'why it matters' messaging for AI initiatives. This position is for those ready to advance their career, working on projects that push boundaries and impact communities globally, within a team that values your ideas, expertise, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will develop and execute the AI change and communications plan, defining audiences, desired behaviours, potential barriers, and necessary interventions. This includes owning internal communications through campaigns, announcements, leader toolkits, and recurring updates. Your impact also involves producing executive-ready readouts that clearly articulate changes, their significance, impact, and next actions. You will translate complex AI capabilities into clear, practical 'why it matters' messages and examples. Furthermore, you will collect frontline feedback, amplify success stories, reinforce safe-use behaviours, and measure engagement to ensure continuous improvement of AI adoption.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess five or more years of experience in change management, internal communications, transformation enablement, or digital adoption, with experience supporting technology or AI rollouts being a strong asset. You must demonstrate a proven ability to design and execute change plans that translate strategy into practical adoption outcomes. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills are essential, alongside experience creating multi-channel internal campaigns, announcements, leader toolkits, FAQs, and enablement content. Comfort operating at the executive level is required, enabling you to synthesise complex inputs into clear, decision-ready updates on impact, risks, and next steps. Strong stakeholder management skills are crucial for partnering effectively across various departments including Product/Engineering, Data/IT, HR/L&D, Communications, Legal, Risk, and business leaders to drive alignment. A data-informed approach to adoption is expected, including defining KPIs, running pulse checks, gathering frontline feedback, and iterating enablement and communications based on insights. AI fluency is important, with the ability to translate capabilities, limitations, and use cases into practical guidance, alongside a commitment to reinforcing responsible AI and safe-use behaviours concerning privacy, confidentiality, security, and governance. You should be a confident facilitator, able to lead workshops across a distributed organisation, and effectively navigate and collaborate within a large, complex organisation, engaging multiple stakeholders across functions and regions. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, HR/Organisational Development, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required; Prosci/ADKAR, CCMP, PMP, or similar credentials are considered an asset.
