Role Overview

Scotiabank is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager to join their Talent Solutions team, focusing on the Global Wealth Management and Global Insurance divisions across Canada. This pivotal role involves shaping and delivering best-in-class recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent, ensuring the business achieves its goals within an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Inspire and develop a team of Senior Consultants, fostering a high-performance, client-focused culture that delivers exceptional hiring outcomes.
• Partner with business leaders and Centres of Excellence (COEs) to design and execute forward-looking recruitment and sourcing strategies aligned to business priorities.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment delivery, continuously enhancing service quality, efficiency, and candidate experience.
• Ensure achievement of service level agreements, scorecards, and key performance metrics across the team.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the business, managing escalated and nuanced hiring scenarios with confidence and sound judgment.
• Embed a strong risk culture, ensuring all recruitment activities meet regulatory requirements and align with the Bank’s frameworks for operational, compliance, and conduct risk.
• Deepen relationships across the Bank, leveraging insights, systems, and networks to deliver integrated talent solutions.
• Implement a people strategy that attracts, develops, and retains top talent, championing inclusion, succession planning, and continuous growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large, complex recruitment teams in a complex and matrixed environment.
• Deep expertise in modern recruitment practices, including strategy development, sourcing, and delivery excellence.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across business lines, functions, or geographies.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate talent strategy into impactful outcomes.
• Track record of driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Post-secondary education is preferred, and bilingualism in French and/or Spanish is considered a valuable asset for this role.
