Your primary impact will involve overseeing the efficient operation of WSP’s internal Enterprise Compute and Storage services and infrastructure. This includes proactively evaluating infrastructure performance, health, and capacity, then developing robust plans to optimise service consistency and cost-effectiveness. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of deployed asset data and ensuring accurate documentation of infrastructure deployments. Furthermore, you will lead and guide team members, collaborating with professionals across various departments to identify improvements in people, processes, and technology, thereby enhancing our overall service delivery. Proactive management and monitoring of services, including engagement with suppliers and manufacturers, are crucial to ensure alignment with expected service levels.

Candidates for this role must possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Compute and Storage operations, coupled with at least 10 years of experience designing and implementing various hypervisors, including VMware, AHV, and Hyper-V. Extensive in-depth knowledge of enterprise compute and storage services and infrastructure is paramount. We are seeking an individual with proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise storage solutions for both structured and unstructured data, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved. This role requires demonstrated experience working in large, global enterprise IT environments with distributed branch and campus sites, and a solid background within an ITIL-aligned service management organisation. Your analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills, alongside strong leadership and communication abilities, will be vital in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure hardware, software, licenses, and support subscriptions, ensuring the continuous enhancement of our operational monitoring capabilities across the entire infrastructure service landscape.
