As a highly experienced and motivated Security Delivery Solutions Architect (DSA), you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex cybersecurity solutions for major Canadian federal government clients in Ottawa. You will be responsible for translating complex government security requirements into robust, compliant, and effective security architectures. Acting as the primary technical interface, you will ensure les solutions not only meet but exceed les rigorous security mandates of the Government of Canada (GC).

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Security Delivery Solutions Architect will include:

  • Architecture and Solution Design:
  • Lead the end-to-end architectural design of security solutions covering cloud, network, identity, data, and application security domains.
  • Translate business objectives and client security requirements into detailed technical specifications, including High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).
  • Ensure all solutions are designed in strict compliance with Government of Canada standards and frameworks, notably ITSG-33, ITSG-22, and the Profile-Based Mission Management (GMAP) model.
  • Develop and present architectural diagrams, roadmaps, and technical proposals to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Technical Leadership and Delivery Oversight:
  • Act as the principal technical expert and trusted advisor for all aspects of the project lifecycle security.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and implementation teams throughout the deployment, integration, and testing phases.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of security solutions, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges and integration issues.
  • Client Engagement and Pre-Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with federal government clients to understand their unique security challenges, operational constraints, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring proposed solutions are viable, competitive, and compliant.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders, building credibility and trust.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all architectural solutions successfully meet GC security controls and are ready for the Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) process.
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities in proposed designs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation required for security audits and compliance verification.

Who We're Looking For

To excel in this Security Delivery Solutions Architect role, Bell is seeking an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of les Government of Canada security frameworks and proven technical expertise across several cybersecurity domains. Une GC security clearance is essential pour this position.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Secret (Level II) or Top Secret security clearance from the Government of Canada. Canadian citizenship is a mandatory prerequisite for this habilitation.
  • Experience:
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in IT security.
  • Over 5 years in a dedicated security architect or principal consultant role.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering large-scale security solutions for Canadian federal government departments or agencies (e.g., SSC, DND, CSE, TBS).
  • GC Expertise: In-depth and practical knowledge of Government of Canada security frameworks, including:
  • ITSG-33 (IT Security Risk Management: A Lifecycle Approach)
  • ITSG-22 (Baseline Security Requirements for Network Security Zones)
  • GMAP (Profile-Based Mission Management)
  • GC Cloud Guardrails and Secure Cloud Adoption Strategies.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge in multiple security domains:
  • Cloud Security: AWS, Microsoft Azure (including Azure Government Canada).
  • Network Security: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, segmentation, SASE.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): PKI, MFA, PAM, SSO, Federation.
  • Security Operations: SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, Threat Intelligence.
  • Data Security: Data Loss Prevention (DLP), encryption, data classification.
  • Certifications: Must hold a high-level industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • High level of personal integrity and ability to professionally handle confidential matters and demonstrate a high level of judgment and maturity.
  • High level of initiative, reliability, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism: Proficiency in both English and French is a major asset.
  • Advanced Certifications: CISSP-ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architecture Professional), TOGAF, SABSA, or cloud-specific security certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS Security Specialty).
  • DevSecOps: Experience integrating security controls and practices into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Zero Trust: Hands-on experience in designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures.
  • Experience in business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management.
