Key Responsibilities and Contributions to Our Pharmacy Program
As a Pharmacy Assistant in Calgary, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations, reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager. Your primary focus will involve assisting with the technical aspects of dispensing prescriptions and managing essential administrative duties. This critical support allows our Pharmacists to dedicate more time to direct patient care. Daily responsibilities include adhering to Calgary Co-op’s customer care and service standards, interacting positively with both customers and colleagues to foster a healthy work environment. You will assist in the operation of the Pharmacy Department in strict accordance with the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association guidelines and Calgary Co-op policies. A high degree of concentration, attentiveness to detail, and accuracy are paramount when assisting in the preparation and filling of prescriptions. Furthermore, you will contribute to the efficient management of dispensary inventories through ordering, receiving, rotating stock, handling returns, and assisting with inventory counts, all while ensuring our pharmacy program runs smoothly. Your familiarity with merchandising practices and departmental objectives will also support our overall customer experience.
