Requirements
To excel in this Land Systems Analyst role, Canadian Natural Resources is looking for a candidate with a robust background in land and data management within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical proficiency and practical experience with land-related systems and reporting tools.
- 10+ years of experience as a Land Analyst or Land Systems Analyst, with a proven track record in implementing, supporting, and maintaining land and mapping applications.
- Post-secondary education in Petroleum Land Administration or Computer Science.
- Hands-on experience with land systems such as QBLM, CS Explorer, LandRite, LandView, or LandWorx, with an advanced understanding of land-related data, payments, and reporting.
- Proficient in query and data integration tools such as Knime, FME, or Microsoft Access.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience building and managing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Report Builder or other business intelligence tools.
Key Duties
The Land Systems Analyst will be responsible for a range of critical tasks that ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of Canadian Natural's land management systems. Your contributions will directly impact data quality and efficiency across the business.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Land Systems and Land business units, managing relationships while supporting and maintaining a portfolio of custom and packaged applications.
- Evaluate requests for new features and functionality, preparing well-documented business cases to support application investments, while maintaining a strong understanding of land data requirements across the portfolio.
- Develop detailed design specifications and collaborate closely with Developers and Systems Analysts to monitor progress and ensure successful implementation of system updates.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve land application issues on items such as system data quality and reporting.
