<h3>Core Responsibilities and Daily Operations for the Meat Wrapper</h3> The Meat Wrapper is primarily responsible for maintaining an efficient and safe department while upholding Calgary Co-op's policies and procedures. A key aspect of this role involves providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, comments, and requests with professionalism and a friendly demeanour. Daily tasks include expertly planning and executing all aspects of meat wrapping functions, such as stocking, creating appealing displays, and ensuring proper product facing to maintain optimal presentation and stock levels. You will be responsible for careful handling of merchandise to minimize damage and markdowns, ensuring quality and price integrity for all meat products. Beyond product handling, this position also entails general cleanup duties, including sanitizing the department and keeping both the sales floor and back stock areas free of debris, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy and safe shopping environment. Adherence to Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations is paramount to ensure the well-being of all staff and customers. Furthermore, the Meat Wrapper is responsible for the proper care and maintenance of equipment, reporting any repair needs promptly, and assisting with ordering, receiving, and inventory processes for meat and related supplies. This comprehensive role ensures that our customers always receive fresh, high-quality meat products.
