Key duties

As a Junior Scheduler, you will provide critical support to the master scheduling team, ensuring that complex projects remain on track and stakeholders are well-informed. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of analytical tasks, coordination, and reporting, all contributing to the smooth execution of large-scale programs.

  • Support schedule development, critical path and what if analysis.
  • Ensure progress is recorded and issued to stakeholders.
  • Support in ensuring all weekly and monthly Business Reporting requirements are maintained.
  • Ensure multi-project schedule dependencies are implemented.
  • Support with schedule analysis and risk assessments.
  • Consult with the scheduling team to review activities.
  • Update schedules to ensure project progress reports are created as required.
  • Support in the implementation and maintenance of an effective scheduling management system.
  • Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Incorporate Baseline Change Requests.
  • Implement project scheduling processes.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in technical disciplines and a keen eye for detail. The company values both formal education and relevant industry experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognized diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering technology or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
  • 0-2 years’ experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Considered Assets:

  • PMI Certification and/or PMP.
  • Primavera P6 Professional Fundamentals Certificate.
  • Previous utilization of any scheduling software.
