Your Impact and Responsibilities

In this role, your impact will be significant as you undertake the design of high-performance electrical building systems. This includes critical infrastructure such as power distribution, emergency and standby power, UPS, grounding, lightning protection, fire detection and voice alarm, as well as lighting and controls, telecommunications, security, and site services. You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of coordinated electrical designs from concept through construction, ensuring quality, constructability, and strict code compliance at every stage. A key responsibility involves preparing detailed technical specifications, meticulously aligned with the Canadian Electrical Code, provincial building codes, and applicable CSA and IEEE standards. Furthermore, you will develop clear, accurate AutoCAD drawings and Revit MEP 3D models, crucial for communicating design intent and supporting integrated project delivery across various projects. Conducting site investigations and construction reviews will also be part of your duties, verifying existing conditions, reviewing installations, and supporting the resolution of field issues.
