Key Duties of a Games Technician

As an Hourly Games Technician at Playdium Vaughan, you will be crucial in maintaining the highest industry standards for all gaming equipment. Your primary responsibility involves the safe installation, testing, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of gaming equipment. While games are your focus, you may also be asked to perform maintenance or repair other equipment within the building, ensuring smooth operations for all visitors.   • Understand and effectively follow all company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Execute the repair of gaming equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Execute the preventative maintenance program for all gaming machines.
  • Perform necessary maintenance changes on gaming systems.
  • Provide occasional guidance and training to others on primary functions.
  • Install supports, software, and ensure the working ability of gaming equipment.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate gaming systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to anticipate and prevent issues.
  • Complete repairs to equipment, and all other services that the machine requires.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair gaming systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform assigned equipment inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting customer satisfaction and operations.
  • Respond effectively to all technical issues as they arise.
  • Perform all preventive and corrective maintenance in full compliance with applicable programs, best industry practices, and manufacturer's recommended practices.
  • Prepare and submit summary reports to management detailing conditions found and recommending actions.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements set by the organization.
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal, Provincial, Municipal Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Playdium Vaughan team.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet is required.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required, including hard-hats and safety boots.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.

Compensation
