About the Role
Are you passionate about the outdoors and looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in Mississauga? The City of Mississauga's Recreation Division is seeking dedicated Seasonal Part-time Golf Equipment Operators to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent chance to develop your skills while contributing to the upkeep of two of Mississauga's premier golf courses: Braeben Golf Course and Lakeview Golf Course.
As a vital member of the Golf Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional experience for customers by maintaining the beauty and playability of our golf courses. This position offers up to 24 hours of work per week, including weekends and holidays, with an employment period extending up to November 2026, weather permitting. Key Duties
In this role, your primary responsibility will be the operation of various equipment essential for maintaining the golf course amenities. You will contribute to keeping our greens, tees, fairways, rough, and bunkers in top condition.
- Operate equipment for the purpose of maintaining golf course amenities, including greens, tees, fairways, rough, and bunkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who can work independently and are committed to maintaining high standards for our golf courses. While experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping is a definite asset, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are paramount.

- Possess a high level of enthusiasm, be self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Must possess Emergency First Aid Certification.
- Must have green patch CSA approved safety boots, 6" - 8" to cover the ankle, suede or leather.
- Must be available to work 3-5 hour shifts Monday to Friday and 1-2 weekends per month. Start times typically vary, beginning at 6:00 a.m. weekdays and 5:00 a.m. weekends.
This role involves working outdoors throughout all seasons and various weather conditions. Physical demands include exposure to vibration, unpleasant smells, fumes, dust, flying particles, and potential outdoor allergens and insects. The position requires bending, lifting, climbing, walking, sitting, standing, and repetitive motion.
