Position Summary

As a Financial Advisor, Investment and Retirement Planning (internally known as FAIR) within Scotiabank's retail branch network, you will be a key member of the sales team. Your primary responsibility is to effectively manage an assigned portfolio of clients, contributing to the team's overall success by meeting or exceeding negotiated deposit and investment sales goals. This role focuses on establishing and deepening vital investment and primary banking relationships with both existing assigned clients and those referred by branch partners, guiding them towards their financial aspirations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in fostering the sustainable growth of proprietary investment business within your assigned market area. Your daily activities will involve a client-centric approach, leveraging your expertise to provide tailored financial advice and solutions.

  • Conducting in-depth reviews for assigned clients, covering retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, utilizing financial planning skills and tools to support their financial goals.
  • Exhibiting natural curiosity to uncover and solve for clients' needs, delivering trusted financial advice regarding their investments and retirement planning.
  • Demonstrating self-motivation and a goal-oriented mindset when identifying clients' needs to craft personalized financial strategies and solutions.
