About the Role
As an Education Coordinator at University Health Network (UHN), you will play a crucial role in supporting Medical Education within the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology (DMOH) at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This position requires a high degree of judgment and independence to provide complex administrative assistance, working closely with the Director of Education, division physicians, and UHN Medical Education personnel. You will be instrumental in building relationships across the medical community, acting as a liaison with various stakeholder groups, and ensuring the smooth operation of educational initiatives.
Your core duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing fellowship and staff physician scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Providing essential information and support to potential, incoming, and current fellows.
- Coordinating and supporting various meetings and events, including grand rounds.
- Maintaining accurate written and electronic calendars and schedules.
- Organising and modifying electronic and paper information filing and retrieval systems.
- Performing routine budgetary support functions.
- Undertaking other related clerical activities as required.
- Performing cross-functional responsibilities, as assigned, to support the department.
- Assisting DMOH physicians with program-related duties.
- Contributing to the preparation of annual reports.
- Coordinating activities associated with the development of new education initiatives.
- Providing comprehensive administrative assistance for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the DMOH Education Office.

- A University Bachelor degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a health research-related and/or educational environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in program administration.
- Proven experience in event planning and meeting coordination.
- Advanced computer skills, including superior knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- High level of interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, producing high-quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards.
- A client service-oriented approach, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics bring richness to challenges.
