Role Overview
At the LCBO, we are seeking Summer Customer Service Representatives for an on-site role in Hawkesbury, available to work between May 4, 2026, and September 7, 2026. This position focuses on delivering an engaging customer experience. You will report to the Store Manager and receive paid training covering store operations, customer service, and product knowledge related to wine, beer, ciders, and spirits.
Key responsibilities include serving customers promptly, courteously, and responsibly using our cash register system, and providing a positive and memorable customer experience. You will also ask for donations for our partner charities as part of our Spirit of Sustainability Campaign, and participate in customer experience and postal code surveys. Daily tasks involve receiving and replenishing products on shelves, ensuring products are faced-up, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment by addressing spills and broken bottles. The role requires the ability to repeatedly lift cases of various sizes and weights, up to 40 lbs (18 kg), while standing for long periods.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should be comfortable interacting with both teammates and customers. You must be legally allowed to work in Canada, holding a valid SIN, Student, or Work Permit, and be at least 18 years old. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset. Successful applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Background Check, at their own expense, before starting work with the LCBO.
Specific availability is required for Fridays from 5:00 PM until close, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays for 4 to 8-hour shifts. This includes availability during long weekends such as Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, and Labour Day weekends. Additional work may be available during the week from Monday to Thursday, based on store needs. Schedules are posted two weeks in advance, and extra shifts may arise on short notice.
