As a Customer Service Representative at the LCBO, your primary focus will be to ensure every customer receives prompt, courteous, and responsible service using our cash register system. You will play a vital role in our store operations, from receiving and replenishing products on the shelves, ensuring our displays are always inviting, to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment for both customers and colleagues. This position also involves participating in our Spirit of Sustainability Campaign by asking for charitable donations and engaging customers in experience and postal code surveys. You will gain valuable experience and product knowledge across a wide range of wines, beers, ciders, and spirits through comprehensive paid training, allowing you to become a trusted expert for our customers.
To excel in this role, candidates must be comfortable working with both teammates and customers, possess a legal right to work in Canada, and be at least 18 years old. A critical aspect of this position is your availability, particularly on weekends and during key long holiday periods. We require availability every Friday from 5:00 PM until close, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays for 4 to 8-hour shifts. This includes commitment during Victoria Day weekend, Canada Day weekend, Civic Holiday weekend, and Labour Day weekend. While these are the core requirements, additional work may be available during the week (Monday to Thursday) based on store needs, with schedules posted two weeks in advance. Previous customer service experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are paramount. Physical requirements include the ability to lift cases of various sizes and weights (up to 40 lbs/18 kg) repeatedly while standing for long periods throughout your day.
