About the Role
The LCBO is seeking Summer Customer Service Representatives for its Toronto, Ontario locations. This is a fixed-term position, available from May 4, 2026, to September 7, 2026. Successful candidates will be passionate about delivering engaging customer experiences and will become helpful experts in our retail stores. Paid training will cover store operations, customer service, and product knowledge, including wine, beer, ciders, and spirits.
Your Responsibilities
As an LCBO Customer Service Representative, you will serve customers promptly, courteously, and responsibly using our cash register system, ensuring a positive and memorable experience. You will also participate in our Spirit of Sustainability Campaign by asking for donations for partner charities and conducting customer experience and postal code surveys. Daily tasks include receiving and replenishing products on shelves, facing up products, and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and safe for everyone by cleaning up spills and broken bottles. This role requires the ability to lift cases of various sizes and weights, up to 18 kg (40 lbs), repeatedly while standing for long periods.
What You'll Bring
Candidates must be comfortable working with both teammates and customers. You must be legally permitted to work in Canada, possessing a valid Social Insurance Number, Student Permit, or Work Permit, and be at least 18 years of age. A criminal background check, at your own expense, is required before commencing employment. Essential availability includes Friday evenings until close, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays for 4 to 8 hour shifts. Availability is also required for long weekends such as Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, and Labour Day. Additional work during the week (Monday to Thursday) may be available based on store needs, with schedules posted two weeks in advance. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
