The LCBO, a prominent retailer in the province, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as a Fixed-Term Summer Customer Service Representative. As an LCBO Customer Service Representative, your day will be filled with engaging interactions and essential store operations. You will be instrumental in providing a positive and memorable customer experience, serving customers promptly and courteously using our cash register system. This involves not only processing transactions but also inspiring others by sharing your knowledge of wines, beers, ciders, and spirits, all learned through our comprehensive paid training. Beyond direct customer interaction, you will participate in key initiatives such as our Spirit of Sustainability Campaign, asking for donations for partner charities, and conducting customer experience and postal code surveys. Your responsibilities also extend to maintaining the pristine condition of our store, including receiving and replenishing products on shelves, facing up items, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for all customers and colleagues by promptly addressing spills and broken bottles. This physical role involves repeatedly lifting cases of various sizes and weights, up to 40 lbs (18 kg), while standing for long periods throughout your shift.
We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working collaboratively with teammates and directly engaging with customers. To be eligible for this exciting summer position, candidates must be legally allowed to work in Canada, possessing a valid SIN, Student, or Work Permit, and be at least 18 years old. A crucial aspect of this role is your availability, especially during peak retail hours. Successful applicants must be available to work between May 4, 2026, and September 7, 2026, with required shifts including Friday evenings (5:00 PM to close) and being available all day on both Saturday and Sunday for 4 to 8-hour shifts. Furthermore, availability is mandatory for all long weekend periods, including Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, and Labour Day weekends. While additional weekday work may be available based on store needs, the ability to consistently cover these weekend and holiday shifts is paramount. Prior customer service experience is a valuable asset, demonstrating your readiness to deliver exceptional service.
