This role demands a proactive approach to cultivating a customer-focused culture across the team, aiming to deepen client relationships and leverage Scotiabank's extensive knowledge and systems. The Senior Manager will be directly accountable for the comprehensive planning, deployment, and measurement of sophisticated marketing and communication strategies tailored to meet challenging customer acquisition targets for key financial products like Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending. Leveraging deep product expertise and results-based marketing levers is crucial for achieving quarterly acquisition goals for priority business lines and partnerships. The execution of an integrated marketing plan will encompass diverse tactics, including email marketing, targeted advertising, sales promotions, direct mail, and branch marketing, all designed to drive substantial customer acquisition. Collaboration is key, partnering closely with Product Marketing, Engagement Marketing, Digital Marketing (performance and eCommerce teams), Channels, Retail Customer Growth, and Customer Insights and Analytics teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end marketing programs and campaigns. This role champions unifying stakeholders around a consistent brand vision, ensuring marketing efforts consistently break through the noise and deliver measurable results.
Understanding Scotiabank's risk appetite and embedding a robust risk culture into all day-to-day activities and decisions is a fundamental aspect of this position. The Senior Manager is instrumental in fostering an environment that prioritizes effective and efficient operations within their respective areas. This includes rigorously ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of daily business controls to fulfil obligations concerning operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
