As the Salesforce Tech Lead at Definity in Waterloo, Ontario, you will be at the forefront of shaping the technical direction and driving initiatives on the Salesforce platform. Your leadership and deep architectural knowledge will empower Definity to unlock the full potential of Salesforce, delivering innovative and scalable solutions that provide a strategic advantage for our colleagues and customers.
Our Salesforce practitioners are key members of our broader Platforms team. In this Tech Lead role, you will provide the technical leadership required to design, develop, and deliver robust, cross-cutting capabilities for optimal reuse across the organisation.
Your Responsibilities
You will lead and mentor a team of developers in the hands-on implementation, configuration, and development of various components of Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Drive the technical vision and strategy for the Salesforce platform, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code in line with project timelines.
Own the solution design and architecture across the entire project lifecycle, from inception and requirements gathering through to implementation, deployment, and long-term maintenance. Act as the primary technical authority on the team, guiding them through complex challenges and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evangelising the latest Salesforce enhancements and releases, articulating how they can bring strategic benefits to Definity.
What You'll Bring

You will also possess deep knowledge in Software Product Development processes and mastery in the design and implementation of DevOps Enablement tools like GIT, CI/CD, and JIRA.
A profound understanding of platform integration patterns and APIs is required, with proven experience architecting and leading the integration of multiple complex systems. You must have the ability to own and lead solution discussions, make critical technical decisions, and develop technical solutions with minimal guidance.
Superior verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also have experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, facilitation of decision-making, documentation, and managing stakeholder expectations, alongside proven experience leading projects with the Agile methodology.
