We are seeking a Container Service Delivery Co-ordinator to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise container platform services. This role spans our hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises VMware environments and AWS cloud.
The ideal candidate is a natural co-ordinator who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and delivery excellence, ensuring seamless service operation.
Key Responsibilities
You will manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for container platform services, co-ordinating cluster upgrades, vulnerability cycles, and platform feature enablement. This includes tracking dependencies, prioritisation, and commitments across multiple delivery streams, partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to align delivery with business and roadmap objectives.
You will drive change co-ordination using ServiceNow, accountable for completeness and approvals, and maintain core governance artefacts such as risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and decision logs. This role ensures compliance with security, audit, and enterprise standards.
Leading incident and escalation response, you will facilitate critical incident bridge calls and cross-team co-ordination, providing structured support during production escalations and high-priority events. Participation in on-call support for implementations, escalations, and platform incidents is required.
A focus on continuous improvement means you will drive measurable enhancements in delivery predictability and change success rates. This involves standardising and enhancing runbooks, standard operating procedures, and operational documentation, monitoring platform service quality, and promoting consistent practices across on-premises and AWS delivery models.
You will engage with stakeholders by facilitating delivery forums, including change readiness meetings, status reviews, and health reporting. This role develops clear communications on delivery schedules, risks, and platform enablement, collaborating on demand forecasting, prioritisation, and initiative alignment.
Leverage AI tools to generate structured change plans, reports, and stakeholder updates, and for incident analysis, trend identification, and operational risk assessment. You will build and refine operational artefacts faster using AI-assisted content creation, driving data-driven decision-making through AI-supported insights and modelling delivery scenarios to optimise execution approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess over five years of experience in IT service delivery, platform operations, or infrastructure co-ordination, with demonstrated accountability for outcomes and service quality. Expertise in Change Management, Incident Management, and Service Delivery lifecycle practices is essential, alongside a proven ability to co-ordinate effectively across matrix organisations and influence without direct authority. A track record of driving continuous improvement in operational processes is also required.
Practical, hands-on experience applying AI tools to operational challenges is critical. This includes analysing operational data to uncover patterns and risks, creating and refining operational artefacts with AI assistance, identifying documentation gaps using AI-assisted discovery, and modelling scenarios to optimise delivery approaches. Comfort validating AI outputs against trusted systems and applying sound operational judgment is expected.
A strong technical foundation includes working knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift concepts such as clusters, namespaces, workloads, and networking. Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure, including VMware on-premises environments and AWS cloud fundamentals, is necessary. The ability to interpret operational signals and co-ordinate responses, along with hands-on experience with ServiceNow, monitoring tools, and AI-enabled productivity tools, is also required.
Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience is expected, with ITIL Foundation knowledge being preferred.
Nice-to-have qualifications include exposure to OpenShift platform operations, Quay, or Rancher, familiarity with Ansible, Git workflows, or automation practices, and experience in regulated enterprise environments. A demonstrated track record advancing AI adoption within delivery teams and an understanding of AIOps concepts such as event correlation, trend analysis, and noise reduction would be beneficial.
This role involves participation in on-call support for major implementations, platform escalations, and production incidents, with occasional after-hours and weekend availability aligned to delivery and operational requirements.
