As a Research Technical Assistant, your primary responsibilities will involve actively assisting in the development and rigorous evaluation of multimodal foundation models specifically tailored for biomedical applications. You will contribute to the design and implementation of sophisticated agentic AI systems, capable of reasoning effectively across a wide array of diverse data modalities. A significant part of this role will involve working with large-scale multimodal biomedical datasets, which may include CryoEM, CryoET, digital pathology, molecular profiling, and structural biology data. You will be instrumental in developing and optimizing machine learning and deep learning algorithms, primarily utilizing Python, PyTorch, and other related frameworks. Participation in data preprocessing, representation learning, model training, and benchmarking is also expected. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside a solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with large multimodal biomedical data, vision-language models, generative AI, or agentic AI systems, further enhancing your contribution to this critical research.
