As the Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic, operational, and financial activities of the Centre for Global Equity in Emergency Medicine (GEM Centre) at University Health Network. This dynamic position involves close collaboration with the Executive Director, faculty leads, staff, trainees, and external partners to coordinate multiple portfolios. These include critical areas such as research, education, global health, health equity, and community-engaged initiatives, all aimed at advancing health outcomes. Your operational leadership will span project management, financial administration, and grant administration, ensuring the smooth execution of various programs and activities. The role is instrumental in supporting the sustainability and growth of the GEM Centre through effective communication, reporting, and strategic planning efforts. You will coordinate the day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective implementation of strategic priorities across all GEM Centre initiatives, including the GEM Lab and GEM Education Hub, requiring a keen eye for detail and strong organizational experience.
This comprehensive role requires a dedicated professional to manage a diverse range of responsibilities. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to financial administration and resource management, coordinating finances across multiple grants, donations, and educational programs. This includes processing requisitions, monitoring budgets, and assisting with financial reporting, demonstrating strong financial administration experience. You will also provide essential coordination and administrative support for research, educational, and trainee-focused initiatives within the GEM Centre, including the administration of local and international fellowship programs. Furthermore, you will support development activities crucial for the GEM Centre's sustainability, such as grant application submissions and partnership initiatives. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement are paramount, as you will maintain the GEM Centre website, coordinate social media activities, and support the dissemination of research and programmatic outputs. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline, coupled with a minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, project management, or healthcare administration.
